Mrs. Himali Ratnaweera, Divisional Secretary, Kadawathsatara, Galle won the crown, marking the culmination of the competition to select the best public officer in the island in the year of 2020. Other government officials who competed in the competition were Commissioner of Co-operatives: Chamila Atapattu, Assistant Forest Officer: Mr. Chaminda Attanayake, SSP Mr.S. Munasinghe and Jaffna Divisional Secretary Mr. Sudarshan.
Transparency International Sri Lanka hosts “Supilipan Pranama 2020” at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo to pay tribute to honest public servants who go beyond their duties and serve the people with integrity. During the nomination period from June to August 2020, more than 100 nominations were received for the Supilipan Piranama 2020 program representing all 25 districts. All of these nominations were judged by a five-judge panel in a highly impartial manner, after which the final five winners were selected through an interview.
