A progress review meeting on the construction of the new Divisional Secretariat Buildings at Homagama, Jaela, Wattala under the Ministry of Home Affairs was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of State for Home Affairs Mr. Ashoka Priyantha on 01.12.2022 at the Ministry Auditorium.
National Food Security Program - Puttalam District Progress Review Meeting was held at the Puttalam District Secretariat Office on 30.11.2022 under the chairmanship of State Minister for Home Affairs Hon. Ashoka Priyantha.
All Divisional Secretaries and Divisional Secretariat Planning Officers of Puttalam District participated in this discussion.
* Rural Economic Revitalization and Food Security Committee activities,
* Progress in the program to create a nutritious garden under the garden development
* Distribution of fertilizers required for agro-industrial activities
* Implementation of nutritional programs for children with nutritional deficiencies and pregnant mothers was discussed here.
For this discussion, additional secretaries of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ananda Vanninayake, Varna Sri Dhanapala, Puttalam District Secretary H. MS Herath, Senior Assistant Secretary Chethia Weerasuriya and many government officials were present.
Complete the construction of the District Secretariat building immediately - instructions to the officials from the Minister of State Mr. Ashoka Priyantha
State Minister for Home Affairs Ashoka Priyantha said that the buildings under construction of the District Secretariat and Divisional Secretariat should be completed immediately and handed over to the people.
The minister mentioned this on 29.11.2022 in the auditorium of the Ministry of State during a discussion with the officials of the contract companies that are constructing the buildings of several district secretariats.
The progress of the buildings under construction in the district secretariat offices of Batticaloa, Galle, Kegalle and Polonnaruwa was investigated here.
State Minister Ashoka Priyantha gave instructions to the relevant officials to blacklist the contract companies that are not satisfied with the due date and standard. The current problems faced by the contractors were also discussed here.
State Minister Ashoka Priyantha further said that people's tax money should be used for the service of the people.
These district secretariat buildings are being constructed due to administrative requirements.
For this occasion, Additional Secretary of the State Ministry of Home Affairs, Ananda Vanninayake, Director General (Technology) H.W.
Mr. SP Jayawardena, Madagascan District Secretary Kanapathipillai Karunaharan, as well as the planning directors of the relevant district secretariats and many government officials were present.
Hon. Minister of State for Home Affairs Ashoka Priyantha, said that the service minute of the Registrar General's Department will be prepared promptly and the promotion procedure of the employees will be streamlined.
The Minister of State mentioned this on 16.11.2022 while attending an observation tour of the Registrar General's Department at Battaramulla.
The Minister said that the Registrar General's Department will directly intervene in the establishment of the service minute, which is a long-term problem, and through this, a group of satisfied and efficient public servants can be produced.
