Hon. Minister of State for Home Affairs Ashoka Priyantha, said that the service minute of the Registrar General's Department will be prepared promptly and the promotion procedure of the employees will be streamlined.
The Minister of State mentioned this on 16.11.2022 while attending an observation tour of the Registrar General's Department at Battaramulla.

The Minister said that the Registrar General's Department will directly intervene in the establishment of the service minute, which is a long-term problem, and through this, a group of satisfied and efficient public servants can be produced.

The Ratnapura District Progress Review Meeting on National Food Security was held on 12.11.2022 at the Ratnapura District Secretariat chaired by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, with the participation of Minister of State for Home Affairs Ashoka Priyantha and Ministers.

Sabaragamuwa Provincial Governor Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, State Ministers Janaka Vakkambura, Premalal Jayasekara, Members of Parliament Akila Ellawala, Pavithra Vanniarachchi, John Seneviratne, Mudita Soysa, Gamini Valeboda, Varuna Priyantha Liyanage, heads of local government bodies participated for the Ratnapura district progress review meeting. Also, the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government Mr. M.M.P.K.Mayadunne, Ratnapura District Secretary Mrs. Malani Lokupothagama and many other government officials were present.
