Commencement of public service duties in 2024

The official ceremony was held at the State Ministry on 01.01.2024 under the chairmanship of Mr. Ashoka Priyantha, Minister of State for Home Affairs.

Government officials from the State Ministry of Home Affairs, Colombo District Secretariat, and Timbirigasaya Divisional Secretariat attended the event where the pledge given by government officials at the beginning of the year was also given.

For this occasion Colombo District Secretary, Additional Secretaries in the State Ministry of Home Affairs, Timbirigasaya Divisional Secretary, and many government officials including senior officials of the State Ministry of Home Affairs were present.

Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne, the new Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government, took office on 01.01.2024 at the Ministry of Public Administration located in Torrington.

Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government Mr. Dinesh Gunawardena and Ministers of State Mr. Ashoka Priyantha and Mr. Janaka Vakkambura as well as many senior officials in the field of public administration were present for this occasion.
